  12. Upsetter, Tire - 1975.6.175

    Upsetter, tire. aka "a tire shrinker." Used to reduce the circumference of iron tires. The tire is heated in the fire, a dent is made in the tire with a hammer, then the tire is placed in the upsetter, held so that it cannot move, and the dent is pounded flat.
